MARCH - A wonderful day at the Jupiter tutorial center was spent celebrating with Easter festivities. When the children entered the room they had a snack waiting with tables decorated to color Easter eggs. Bright colors matched their happy smiles as they continued the fun into the bounce house, holiday games for prizes, tye dying of t-shirts and a giant Easter egg hunt. They all had their own bag to collect numerous eggs filled with toys, coins and Easter fun. On their departure each child was handed an Easter basket overflowing with goodies to take home and share with their siblings.
Thank you notes arrived a week later from each student expressing their gratitude and enjoyment of the day.

- Sponsored four children at local elementary school to attend a fifth grade trip to Universal Studios.
Holding Hands also sponsored after care for a local mother's three children allowing her additional hours at her place of employment.

Continued support is being offered to local mother and her four children we moved here in February from an abusive situation. Daily transportation, assistance with laundry, meals, and emotional support continues to be offered.
With the help of the local community we were able to help her find employment. She is so excited to be working again and has been succeeding in her place of employment. She is growing stronger and more independent daily as an individual and mother. WE ARE SO PROUD OF HER! The children and mother are in counseling and the children are adjusting well in their new school. They melt our hearts with their warm smiles and generous bear hugs every time we see them.

MAY - An independent women in the community who worked as a real estate agent contacted Holding HAnds for needed help. She spent many years volunteering at a food shelter only to find herself now in the same unfortunate situation. She became homeless without many options for assistance. We were able to gather food cards and sponsor rent to get her on her feet again. She was very appreciative and plans to return the favor to other families we aid in the future.

Continued support is being offered to local mother and her four children we moved here in February from an abusive situation. Daily transportation, assistance with laundry, meals and emotional support continues to be offered. We also introduced her to another family we have worked with that lives in the same neighborhood. They have become friends and now support each other.
